# PaymentSearchType

Enum · GraphQL API

The type of a Payment, based primarily on implementing type.

## Values

- `DETACHED_REFUND`: Only use this field if you have processed [detached credits](https://articles.braintreepayments.com/control-panel/transactions/refunds-voids-credits#detached-credits). The payment is a Refund, and represents a refund of a transaction not processed through your Braintree account.
- `REFUND`: The payment is a Refund, and represents a refund of a transaction present in this Braintree account. Unless you have processed any [detached credits](https://articles.braintreepayments.com/control-panel/transactions/refunds-voids-credits#detached-credits), this type encompasses all refunds.
- `TRANSACTION`: The payment is a Transaction.
