# PaymentStatusEvent

Status event in the [lifecycle of a payment](https://articles.braintreepayments.com/get-started/transaction-lifecycle).

## Fields

- `status` (`PaymentStatus`): New status of the payment.
- `timestamp` (`Timestamp`): Date and time when the status event occurred.
- `amount` (`MonetaryAmount`): The payment amount applicable to the status. For instance, the amount when a transaction is `SUBMITTED_FOR_SETTLEMENT` might be less than the amount for which it was `AUTHORIZED`.
- `source` (`PaymentSource`): Source that caused the status event to occur.
- `terminal` (`Boolean`): Whether this is the final state for the payment. If false, this transaction will pass into another subsequent state.
