Adaptive Accounts v1.0.3 release notes

Important: Adaptive Accounts is now a limited release product. It is restricted to select partners for approved use cases and should not be used for new integrations without guidance from PayPal.

These release notes address the API operations within the PayPal Adaptive Accounts WSDL.

The Adaptive Accounts APIs include:

New features

New reminderEmailFrequency field for CreateAccount API requests

To suppress emails related to the redirectURL, you can now set the new reminderEmailFrequency field to NONE for CreateAccount API requests.

New confirmEmail field for CreateAccount API requests

To automatically confirm user email addresses, you can now set the new confirmEmail field to true for CreateAccount API requests. Available only to partners with special permission.

Changed functionality

  • Changed the AddPaymentCard default timeout to 60 minutes from 15 minutes.
  • Mobile-optimized the CreateAccount mini-browser flow pages for the United States, Japan, Malaysia, and Singapore.
  • Added a mobile-optimized mini-browser flow for AddPaymentCard in the United States and Japan only. All other countries only have a full browser flow.
  • Enabled the Maestro card type in the AddPaymentCard API for additional countries.
  • Removed support for the Solo card type. Renamed Switch to UKMaestro.

Additional documentation updates

The CreateAccount API documentation corrects the default value of the showAddCreditCard field as TRUE instead of FALSE.
