Marketplaces Connected Path Onboarding

Tip: While integrating with Marketplaces, try using the PayPal API Explorer to make test calls to the Onboarding API.

Overview

Marketplaces Connected Path allows you to partner with PayPal. Partnership provides protection and management of risks and losses.

This table describes the responsibilities that partners and sellers share using Connected Path.

Onboard your sellers

Upfront Onboarding

You ask your sellers to connect with PayPal before buyers make PayPal payments through your marketplace. This method uses the PayPal API.

  • URL Onboarding is a variation of Upfront onboarding that streamlines the onboarding process and does not use the PayPal API.
Progressive Onboarding

You ask your sellers to connect with PayPal after buyers make PayPal payments through your marketplace.
