# Customize the Pay Later messaging layout on Miva (/v5/pay-later/miva/gb)



Promote PayPal Pay Later products using messaging on your Miva store.

PayPal offers short-term, interest-free payments that buyers can use to buy now and pay later. You get paid up-front.

Pay Later messaging includes Pay in 3, which UK buyers can use to pay for purchases of £20 to £3,000 in three, interest-free payments. It also includes **Pay in 30 Days**, which UK buyers can use to pay the full amount in 30 days with no interest or fees, for purchases of £1 to £900.

## Know before you begin [#know-before-you-begin]

* Before you begin, learn more about [Pay Later products](/pay-later/overview).
* Before you customize Pay Later messaging, [install Miva's PayPal Commerce Platform module](https://docs.miva.com/paypal-commerce-platform) by completing the Installation section. This initiates the onboarding flow to create or upgrade a PayPal account and grant API permissions to Miva.
* Pay Later messaging is enabled for new merchants. If you're an existing merchant, make sure to enable the messaging.
* UK-based consumers are eligible for Pay Later products across most of our integrations. As a merchant, you're eligible to promote these Pay Later products if you are a UK-based PayPal merchant with a UK-legal business entity, a UK-facing website, transacting in GBP, and a one-time payment integration. At this time, promoting Pay Later products is not available on PayPal vaulted payments or billing agreement integrations.
* Pay Later products also follow the [PayPal Acceptable Use Policy](https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/ua/acceptableuse-full?locale.x=en_US), which governs the usage of PayPal and prohibits the use of PayPal and Pay Later products for certain types of transactions, such as real money gaming and firearms.
* Please note that while messaging can be displayed on your website to help promote Pay Later products to your customers, no additional content, wording, marketing, or other material should be created by you to encourage use of this product. PayPal reserves the right to take action in accordance with the User Agreement.
* Creating your own Pay in 3 or Pay in 30 Days content or using the JS SDK outside of the terms of the User Agreement may result in you communicating an unauthorized financial promotion, which can involve criminal sanctions under S21 Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.

## Customize the messaging layout [#customize-the-messaging-layout]

Messaging is enabled by default on product and checkout pages. However, you can customize the messaging layout to fit your business needs. You can also choose to enable or disable the messaging banners.

To customize the messaging, complete the following:

1. Log in to your Miva admin portal.
2. From the left-hand navigation, select **User Interface**.  Start customizing the messaging layout on the individual pages.
3. Select **Templates** > **Items** to customize individual pages.
4. From the CODE column, find and select **paypalcp\_credit**.
5. Select **PayPal Commerce Platform**.  The *Edit Item: paypalcp\_credit* page opens. View which pages have the messaging banners enabled. If you're an existing user, make sure to enable these pages. You can also enable messaging on additional pages or turn them off on existing pages. Selecting one of the pages displays more options to customize the messaging layout.
6. Select a page. The Edit Page screen displays.
7. Find the PayPal Credit Messaging section. This customizes the layout of Pay Later messaging.

8. Customize the layout of your messaging.
9. (Optional) Navigate back to the Items page and enable messaging on another page.

By default, the following pages are enabled for messaging:
