# Customize the Pay Later messaging layout on PrestaShop (/v5/pay-later/prestashop/es)



Promote PayPal Pay Later offers using messaging on your PrestaShop store.

PayPal offers short-term, interest-free payments and installment payment options that buyers can use to buy now and pay later. You get paid up-front, and there are no additional costs.

Pay Later includes:

* Paga en 3 plazos, which eligible Spanish buyers can use to pay in three interest-free payments for purchases of €20 – €2,000.
* Paga en 6, 12 o 24 plazos, which eligible Spanish buyers can use to pay for purchases of €120 – €2,999, with terms of 6, 12, or 24 monthly payments.

* Before you begin, learn more about [Pay Later offers](/pay-later/overview).
* As a merchant, you're eligible to promote Pay in installments if you are a Spain-based PayPal merchant with a Spain-legal business entity, a Spain-facing website, and a one-time payment integration. At this time, promoting Pay Later offers are not available on PayPal vaulted payments or billing agreement integrations
* Pay later offers also follow the [PayPal Acceptable Use Policy](https://www.paypal.com/es/webapps/mpp/ua/acceptableuse-full?locale.x=es_ES&_ga=1.239760260.663165815.1628012939), which governs the usage of PayPal and prohibits the use of PayPal and pay later offers for certain types of transactions, such as real money gaming and firearms.

## Customize the PayPal official module messaging layout for Pay in installments [#customize-the-paypal-official-module-messaging-layout-for-pay-in-installments]

> **Note:** **Note:** Ensure that the PrestaShop official module is installed before enabling Pay Later messaging. Versions V1.4.0.1 through V1.7.7.3 and PrestaShop 8 support Paga en 3 plazos messaging.

To customize the messaging layout, complete the following:

1. Log in to your PrestaShop admin portal.
2. Go to **Payment** > **Payment Methods**.
3. Select **Configure** under the PayPal payment option.
4. Select **Pay in installments** tab. This tab will only be shown if the PrestaShop store is set to France, UK, Germany, Italy, Spain or US.
5. Set the toggle to **Enable the display of Paga in installments banners** and select the locations on the site where you want banners to appear.
6. Under **Advanced Options**, set the toggle to **Yes** to change the home page and category page banner styles.

## Enable messaging for PayPal Checkout [#enable-messaging-for-paypal-checkout]

1. Log in to your PrestaShop admin portal.
2. Go to **Payment** > **Payment Methods**.
3. Select **Configure** under the PayPal payment option.
4. Select **Pay in installments** tab. This tab will only be shown if the PrestaShop store is set to France, UK, Germany, Italy, Spain or US.
5. Set the toggle to **Enable the display of Pay in installments banners**.
