Log into your PayPal Business account to retrieve order information and details embedded in the PayPal Payments Standard (PPS) Buy Now buttons you create. Retrieve the item price, taxes applied, item details, shipping details, as well as other types of information. You can use the information to process an item, print a shipping label, or complete other tasks needed to finalize your business transaction.

Applying Discounts to a Buy Now Button
Configure an existing WPS Buy Now button to set up discounts for items purchased. Create discounts as either a percentage of the purchase price or as a set monetary value. Log into your PayPal Business account to set discounts for more than a single item and vary the amount of the discount based upon the number of items purchased.

PayPal Coupon Codes for PayPal Payments Standard (PPS)
Add the means for a customer to realize a discount when they use coupon code with your WPS Buy Now buttons. Using this approach with WPS requires a bit of PHP coding and configuration. Note that it is also possible to o implement coupon codes using Website Payments Pro (WPP).

The PayPal Shipping Calculator
Use the WPS Shipping Calculator to help your users calculate the shipping costs for an item. Costs are based on the payment currency, ship-to location, and selected shipping method. You can calculate different shipping amounts based on the item weight, price, or number of items shipped. You can also create different shipping methods for each accepted currency.

Shopping Cart Button Details and Inventory Tracking
Retrieve order information embedded in your shopping cart buttons. By reviewing the shopping cart button, you can also retrieve the details of multiple orders through a history download. In addition to these methods of examining order details, you can generate reports that track your inventories and set alerts for when your inventories reach a level that you specify.

Integrate a checkout flow with PayPal Payments Advanced (which uses a merchant account through PayPal) or PayPal PayFlow Link (which uses an existing merchant account through another provider) directly into your osCommerce shopping carts. This tutorial shows how to embed the checkout flow into your osCommerce module and how to test your application using the PayPal Sandbox.
