Customize the Pay Later messaging layout on PrestaShop

Promote PayPal Pay Later offers using messaging on your PrestaShop store.

PayPal offers short-term, interest-free payments and other special financing options that buyers can use to buy now and pay later. You get paid up-front, and there are no additional costs.

Pay Later messaging includes Pay in 4, which Australian buyers can use to pay for purchases of $30 to $2,000 in four, interest-free payments.

Know before you customize

• Before you begin, learn more about Pay Later offers.
• Activate the PayPal official module on PrestaShop
• Pay Later messaging is auto-enabled for the PayPal official module. Enable messaging if using PayPal Checkout.
• You are eligible to promote Pay in 4 if you are a Australian-based PayPal merchant with a Australian-facing website and a one-time payment integration. Reference Transaction or Recurring Payment integrations are not eligible, as well as certain merchant categories (such as digital goods or non-physical goods). Please note that while messaging can be displayed on your website to help promote Pay Later offers to your customers, no additional content, wording, marketing, or other material should be created by you to encourage use of this product. PayPal reserves the right to take action in accordance with the User Agreement.

Customize the PayPal official module messaging layout for Pay in 4

Note: Ensure that the PrestaShop official module is installed before enabling Pay Later messaging. Versions V1.4.0.1 through V1.7.7.3 support Pay in 4 messaging.

To customize the messaging layout, complete the following:

1. Log in to your PrestaShop admin portal.
2. Go to Payment > Payment Methods.
3. Select Configure under the PayPal payment option.
4. Select Configure the module.
5. Set the toggles to enable the display of Pay in 4 messaging on on the locations on the site where you want messaging to appear.
6. Under each location, set the dropdown menus to customize and preview the style of Pay in 4 messaging.
7. Select Save to save and publish the changes to your site.

Enable messaging for PayPal Checkout

1. Log in to your PrestaShop admin portal.
2. Go to Payment > Payment Methods.
3. Select Configure under the PayPal payment option.
4. Select Pay Later tab. This tab will only be shown if the PrestaShop store is set to France, Italy, Spain, UK, Germany, Australia or US.
5. Set the toggle to Enable ‘Pay Later’ in your checkout.
6. Select the locations on the site where you want the button and banners to appear.
7. Under Advanced Options, set the toggle to Enabled to customize the banners and buttons style.
