Marketing Solutions Overview

Important: PayPal Marketing Solutions is a legacy product. We accept new integrations and support existing integrations, but there are new solutions.
Merchants with PayPal business accounts can use PayPal Marketing Solutions to increase sales.
PayPal Marketing Solutions enables merchants to see unique shopper insights and provide custom rewards for buyers with PayPal accounts. When a developer integrates PayPal Marketing solutions into merchant websites, merchants see an Activate button on their admin panel.
Note: New features and tools for Marketing Solutions are automatically available without reintegrating.
Here's an overview of the merchant's first experience with PayPal Marketing Solutions:
- The merchant clicks Activate in the admin panel of their site.
- The button sends a
POSTrequest with activation parameters to PayPal. - PayPal displays a login page and the merchant logs in.
- PayPal creates and sends the container ID to the merchant site and directs the merchant back to their admin panel. This container ID enables the merchant to use PayPal Marketing Solutions.
After a merchant activates PayPal Marketing Solutions, the button displays Manage Settings:
- The merchant clicks Manage Settings in the admin panel of their site.
- The button sends a
POSTrequest with manage settings parameters to PayPal. - PayPal displays a login page and the merchant logs in.
- PayPal directs the merchant back to their admin panel, where they can configure PayPal Marketing Solutions.
