PayPal Shopify Integration
Merchants integrating with the third-party Shopify shopping cart can use these instructions to help with both Express Checkout and Payflow Pro.
Express Checkout integrations
To integrate Shopify using PayPal Express Checkout:
- Log into your Shopify admin panel.
- Click on Settings and then Payments.
- Under the PayPal module, click Edit.
- Click Deactivate and then confirm the deactivation.
- Click to Activate PayPal Express.
You are now integrated with PayPal Express Checkout through Shopify.
Payflow Pro integrations
- Log into your Shopify admin panel.
- Click on Settings and then Payments.
- On the Shopify Payments module, click Edit under the Payments module as Shopify only allows One Payment Gateway to be activated.

Click on Deactivate.
Note: If you've previously activated PayPal Express Checkout, deactivate it before continuing. See above for Express Checkout deactivation steps.
- Select a reason for deactivation and click Deactivate.
- Click on the Choose Third-Party Provider button and select PayPal Payflow Pro as the third-party credit card provider. Click Continue.

Enter your PayPal Payflow Pro credentials and then click Activate.
- Test mode - uncheck if live
- Merchant login
- Password
- Partner
- User
- Check Enable Express Checkout option
- Cards accepted
- Click on Activate

If your Shopify theme supports Shopify Smart Buttons:
- In your Shopify Admin, go to Themes > Customize > Theme Settings.
- Click on Products and check the box for Show Dynamic Checkout Button.
You are now integrated with PayPal Payflow Pro through Shopify.
