Introduction to Managed Path
Last updated: Sept 24th, 3:15pm
Managed Path is a payment platform that allows large partners to offer PayPal payment processing to their sellers. Partners control the entire payment solution, including:
- Onboarding merchants.
- Processing payments for cards, banks, PayPal, Pay Later, Venmo, and alternative payment methods.
- Merchant and partner settlements.
- Monetizing payments to charge merchants fees for platform usage.
- Managing disputes and transactional risk.
- Reports to gain insight into merchant activity.
Note: Partners can also choose connected path to offer payment processing and account risk management. Connected path provides quicker onboarding but less control over the entire payment solution. For more information about connected path, see PayPal Commerce Platform for Marketplaces and Platforms.
Benefits
Managed path is ideal for partners who want control and flexibility over the merchant's end-to-end experience. Merchants onboard directly with the partner and have a single point of contact for support.
Customers can shop your site from any device. Brand your page to fit your business branding and give your customer a seamless transition to payment.
