Braintree GraphQL ID Format

Verifone APIs and SDKs return Braintree's human-readable "legacy" identifiers for transactions, customers, and payment methods. Product and engineering teams need to convert these values when calling Braintree's GraphQL API so they can be used in mutations and queries that expect GraphQL global IDs.

When integrating with Braintree GraphQL, you must convert each legacy ID to a global ID using the idFromLegacyId query. The LegacyIdType must be set based on which kind of ID you are passing in.

For example:

• Transaction sale ID → TRANSACTION
• Transaction refund ID → REFUND
• Customer ID → CUSTOMER
• Payment method token → PAYMENT_METHOD
