Refer to this page for Braintree (Credit Card) and Braintree (PayPal) settings for your Braintree for WooCommerce store.
Credit Card settings
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Enable/Disable | Select to enable the payment method. |
| Title | This is what appears on the checkout page to the buyer. The default is Credit Cart. |
| Description | This appears on the checkout page to the buyer under the title. The default language is "Pay securely using your credit card." |
| Card Verification (CSC) | Display and require CSC/CVV field on checkout. |
| Transaction Type | Select from Choose Charge (Intent: Sale) or Authorization (Intent: Authorize). |
| Accepted Card Logos | Modify the card logos that are shown in the checkout page. |
| Detailed Decline Messages | Check to provide detailed error messaging when payments are declined. It is recommended to keep this unchecked unless troubleshooting. |
| Debug Mode | Select options for debugging. It is recommended to Save to Log unless troubleshooting an issue. |
| Environment | Switch between Sandbox and Production modes. |
| Share Connection Settings | If you have enabled your Braintree credentials in the Credit Card options, select this box to not have to re-enter your credentials for the PayPal settings. |
| Merchant ID, Public Key, Private Key | Enter your merchant API keys. These can be found on the Braintree Control Panel. |
| Merchant Account IDs | Add Merchant Account IDs if your store accepts multiple currencies. |
| Dynamic Descriptors | If enabled, enter the descriptor here. |
| Fraud Settings | Select the level of Fraud Protection you have through Braintree. Selecting Kount Direct requires a Kount Merchant ID. |
| (3D Secure) Level | Choose between Standard and Strict. |
| (3D Secure) Supported Card Types | Choose the card types that 3D Secure will validate on. |
| (3D Secure) Save Changes | Changes are not automatically saved. Make sure to click this after changes are made. |
PayPal Settings
| Field | Description |

| Enable/Disable | Select to enable the payment method. |
| Title | This is what appears on the checkout page to the buyer. The default is PayPal. |
| Description | This appears on the checkout page to the buyer under the title. The default is "Click on the PayPal icon below to sign into your PayPal account and pay securely." |
| (Button Appearance) Button Color | Choose color of the PayPal buttons. The default is gold. |
| (Button Appearance) Button Size | Choose size of the PayPal buttons. The default setting is responsive size. |
| (Button Appearance) Button Shape | Choose shape of the PayPal buttons. This defaults to a pill shape. |
| PayPal Pay Later | This section appears for eligible countries including Australia. Select this to display the Pay Later button and Pay Later messaging. |
| (PayPal Pay Later) Pay Later Messaging Logo Type | Change the logo type. The default is a single-line PayPal logo. |
| (PayPal Pay Later) Pay Later Messaging Logo Position | Change the location of the PayPal logo. The default puts the logo to the left of the text. |
| (PayPal Pay Later) Pay Later Messaging Text Color | Change the text and banner color. The default is black text with a color logo. |
| Buy Now on Product Pages | Place the button on the product page. This is automatically enabled. |
| Enable Cart Checkout | Place the button on the cart page. This is automatically enabled. |
| Transaction Type | Select from Choose Charge (Intent: Sale) or Authorization (Intent: Authorize). |
| Tokenization | Check to enable Braintree Vault functionality. |
| Detailed Decline Messages | Select to provide detailed error messaging when payments are declined. Leave this unchecked unless troubleshooting. |
| Debug Mode | Select options for debugging. It is recommended to Save to Log unless troubleshooting an issue. |
