Change Your Bank Account
As a part of your original Braintree application, you provided bank information for a checking account associated with your business. All settled transactions are paid out to this bank account according to the settlement and funding timeline.
Viewing your bank account
You can view the bank account associated with your merchant accounts in the Control Panel. To view your disbursements account:
- Log into the Control Panel
- Click on the gear icon in the top right corner
- Click Business from the drop-down menu
- Scroll down to the Merchant Accounts section
- Under the Bank Account column for the account of your choice, click the View link
The Disbursement Bank Account page has both the routing number and the last four digits of the bank account associated with the selected merchant account.
Updating your bank account
If you'd like to update your business bank account information, upload either a bank statement or a signed bank letter for your new account using our Business Uploads Tool in the Control Panel.
Make sure that either document you provide meets all of the following requirements:
Bank statement
- Includes the account holder's name (either the DBA or legal name of your business)
- Includes the BSB and account number
- Includes your business address
- Was issued within the last 3 months, with the issue date clearly stated
Bank letter
- Printed on bank letterhead
- Includes the account holder's name (either the DBA or legal name of your business)
- Includes the BSB and account number
- Includes your business address
- Signed by a bank representative
- Was issued within the last 6 months, with the issue date clearly stated
