Embedded integration gives you greater control over the customer experience and helps you deliver merchant onboarding and servicing experiences directly within your own platforms. By managing payments directly, you can enhance merchant experiences, streamline sales cycles, and gain better control over costs.
With this solution, we aim to support flexible, native integrations that reduce customer friction, enhance user experience, and provide you with greater control and customization over the merchant journey. By leveraging embedded components, you can offer merchants a unified onboarding, payment, and servicing experience while maintaining your own branding and user interface standards.
Key features
Embedded integration equips you to:
- Streamline merchant onboarding with a simplified process that is easy for users to complete.
- Use pre-built user interfaces for managing accounts and payouts, saving development time and effort.
- Deploy faster without the need to develop custom UI components for payments and payouts.
- Reduce technical overhead with less custom development, allowing you to launch payment features faster.
- Ensure built-in compliance with solutions like managing KYC and AML requirements.
How it works
Partner:
- Uses the Referrals API to get the partner referral URL for merchant signup.
- Generates a client token and initializes the PayPal embedded onboarding SDK.
- Integrates the PayPal onboarding flow within their platform.
Merchant:
- Onboards to Partner Payments with an existing PayPal business account or creates a new PayPal business account.
- Provides business details and consents to data sharing.
- Completes the required verification process.
PayPal:
- Creates the merchant account and sends webhook notifications to the partner.
- Sends status change notifications when verification updates.
- Provides account details when partner queries through APIs.
