This document guides you on the process of moving to the recommended PayPal Payments extension. This is a newer, free extension that has the same and more features than older extensions.

Getting Started
Install PrestaShop Account last version:
Via Module catalog or addons marketplace
If it’s installed, it can be check if there is no "upgrade" button.
Go to the configurationPrestaShop Account
Check that there is no alert / warning
Check if the account is connected
Go toPrestaShop XO
Make sure its the last version (same asPrestaShop Account)
Make sure no alert

Ensure your shop is in HTTPS.
Ensure your shop's maintenance mode is turned off.
Ensure "PrestaShop Checkout" module is enabled in your "Module Manager" to receive webhooks.
To activate the payment methods, connect to a PrestaShop Account.
Click on the "Associate" button to login.
Follow the step on the pop-up to login to your account.
Click "Connect" to connect your PayPal account. Complete the different steps shown in the PayPal pop-up window with an existing account. After authorizing PayPal to connect your account to PrestaShop Checkout, click "Return to the online store".
Click "Send documents" to upload documents in your PayPal's account and finalize onboarding.
If you want to enable payments by Credit Cards, check your emails from PayPal regarding how to provide further information to increase account limit. To check if you have provided all required information, go to https://www.paypal.com/signin?returnUri=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.paypal.com%2Fpolicy%2Fhub%2Fkyc.
Please check to see if Credit Card payments are enabled by simulating a purchase from your online store. Perform this test with small sums as the commission cannot be recovered. Ensure order has been successfully created and then issue a refund for it.
Once the PayPal and Credit Card payment methods are activated, you are advised to deactivate all other payment modules which allows your customers to avoid having several identical payment methods proposed at the checkout stage.
