PayPal Upgrade Guide
This document guides you on the process of moving to the recommended PayPal Payments extension. This is a newer, free extension that has the same and more features than older extensions.
Requirements & Installation
Recurly is a subscription and billing platform.
PayPal Complete is the latest and greatest payment gateway solution by PayPal that simplifies the payment process by accommodating a variety of PayPal payment methods within one single integration. Incorporating PayPal Complete into Recurly is swift and hassle-free, eliminating the need to acquire a separate merchant account.
This payment gateway or setting is available to all customers on any Recurly subscription plan.
Getting Started
Access Recurly's admin panel via https://app.recurly.com/ and log in with your credentials. Once logged in, keep the newly opened tab with Recurly's admin panel side-by-side with this upgrade guide, allowing you to easily follow along with each step of the upgrade process.

Visual Upgrade Guide
Select the "Configuration" option in left hand side of the main page.
Under Configuration, select the "Payment Gateways Option".
In the Payment Gateway screen, one can click the "Add Payment Gateway" button under "Payment Gateway Actions" in the top right corner.
Choose PayPal Complete option.
This opens up our Integrated Sign up where, the merchants can enter their PayPal e-mail address and select country and Clicks Next.
After clicking Next, the merchant can enter the Password to login.
After entering the password, the next screen would be the option for merchant to give Permission to Recurly to make the API calls on behalf. Click "Allow" button to give permission.
After clicking "Allow", we are set and merchant can click the "Return to Test Store" button to get back to Recurly admin.
The PayPal gateway is now added in the Payment Gateways section. Click on "Options" for the old gateway (PayPal Business Account) and you can either edit and select "Disable gateway" and save or you can click on "Remove Gateway" and you will be prompted to type "DELETE" and click "Remove Gateway".
