Prerequisites

Installation

Install the app to your Shopify dev store
- Production App
  - Visit the Shopify App Listing page
  - Click INSTALL.
  - Accept the access requests and click INSTALL.
- Staging App
  - Access your PayPal Shopify partner account.
  - Go to “Apps” and navigate to PayPal Braintree Staging.
  - Navigate to the Overview page. Click “Select Store” under the “Test your app” box.
  - Select the development store you wish to install the app onto
Complete the Merchant Sign-up
- Only users with Admin Role can be used to provide the below credentials for sign-up
  - Enter the public key, private key, and account name found in your Braintree Account Settings > Business > Merchant Account ID
  - Click Save. You should see a message confirming your changes have been saved.
  - Return to your store using the back arrow button on the page.
Activate Payment Gateway
- From the previous step, you should have been redirected to the Store > Settings > Payments screen highlighting the “PayPal Braintree Payments” app.
- If not, go to Dev Store > Settings > Manage > Search for PayPal Braintree Payments.
  - Check the “Test mode” box.
  - Click “Active” at the bottom to set PayPal Braintree as the gateway.
Simulate a Purchase
- Go to Store > Online Store > View your store (or use a direct store link)
- Add a product to your cart / buy now.
- On the checkout page, fill out your personal and card info. Click “Pay Now”. This will trigger a transaction using the app as the backend service. If you are using test payments, see test card info here.
- Verify the transaction in your Braintree Sandbox Account.
