PayPal Upgrade Guide
This document guides you through the process of migrating from legacy to the latest PayPal Checkout solution, including configuring the Checkout flow, Credit & Debit Card processing and Pay with Venmo.
Requirements & Installation
PayPal Checkout is the latest and greatest payment solution by PayPal that simplifies the payment process by accommodating a variety of PayPal payment methods within one single integration. Incorporating PayPal Checkout into Vortx is swift and hassle-free, eliminating the need to acquire a separate merchant account.
Getting Started
Access your AspDotNetStorefront admin panel at https://yoursite.com/admin (replace "yoursite.com" with your actual domain) and log in with your credentials. Once logged in, keep the newly opened tab with your admin panel side-by-side with this upgrade guide, allowing you to easily follow along with each step of the upgrade process.

Visual Upgrade Guide
Log into your website admin panel. Then click Configuration > Settings and make sure all of these setting values are empty. (it may be a good idea to record your setting values on a text pad in the event you need to reference them or input them again at any point)

- PayPalCommerce.LiveClientSecret
- PayPalCommerce.MerchantId
- PayPalCommerce.OnboardingProxyApiClientId
- PayPalCommerce.OnboardingProxyApiClientId.Development
- PayPalCommerce.OnboardingProxyApiClientSecret
- PayPalCommerce.OnboardingProxyApiClientSecret.Development
- PayPalCommerce.SandboxClientId
- PayPalCommerce.SandboxClientSecret
Then, update the setting PayPalCommerce.OnboardingCheck to have a value of 'false'.
Once this is done, you can refresh your store and you're ready to start configuring PayPal Commerce.
