PayPal Pay Later offers are payment option that enables merchants to be paid in full during checkout while giving buyers the flexibility to pay in installments, without any late fees. The Pay Later offers are geo-specific. For information on the geo-specific offers, see Pay Later Overview.


A Pay Later integration can involve,

  1. Adding Pay Later messaging: Integrate the Messaging Configurator that merchants can access from the admin panel, to set up, customize, preview, and publish the Pay Later messages displayed to the buyers.  
  2. Adding the Pay Later button.


Pay Later messaging integration,  

  • Helps improve conversion, attract new customers, and increase order values.  
  • Enables merchants to display cart-amount-based dynamic messages.  
  • Enables merchants to display appropriate Pay Later messages across multiple touchpoints such as product page, cart page, checkout page, and so on. 

How Pay Later messaging integration works

  1. Partners integrate the Messaging Configurator, a merchant-facing module that merchants access from the Partner admin panel. 
  2. Merchants use the Messaging Configurator to customize, preview, and publish the Pay Later messages. This reduces the partner’s development effort to display appropriate Pay Later messages.
