PayPal offers installment options that eligible German buyers can use to buy now and pay later, while merchants still get paid up front. PayPal Ratenzahlung is included with eligible PayPal Checkout solutions at no additional cost. Merchants can inform their customers with messaging on their website to improve conversion, attract new customers, and increase average order values.

Pay Later offers include PayPal Ratenzahlung, which eligible German buyers can use to pay in 3, 6, 12, or 24 monthly installments for purchases of 99€ to 5,000€.

How it Works

Messaging

With Pay Later messaging, pass the product or cart amount to display the most relevant message to your customers. The message content depends on the interest rate of your installments and the value that data-pp-amount passes into the PayPal SDK messages component.

Buttons

Render the Später Bezahlen button in a one-time payment integration by passing enable-funding=paylater in the PayPal JavaScript SDK. For details, see enable funding.

You can render the payment buttons in a horizontal or vertical layout or as standalone payment buttons.

When customers select the button, Pay Later offers display in the PayPal Checkout.
