Customize the Pay Later messaging layout on PrestaShop

Promote PayPal Pay Later offers using messaging on your PrestaShop store.

PayPal offers short-term, interest-free payments and other special financing options that buyers can use to buy now and pay later. You get paid up-front, and there are no additional costs.

Pay Later includes Paga in 3 rate, which eligible buyers in Italy can use to pay in three interest-free payments for purchases of 30€ – 2,000€. The first payment is due at the time of the transaction, and subsequent payments are due every month.

Know before you begin

• Before you begin, learn more about Pay Later offers.
• As a merchant, you're eligible to promote Paga in 3 rate if you are an Italy-based PayPal merchant with an Italy-legal business entity, an Italy-facing website, and a one-time payment integration. At this time, promoting Pay Later offers is not available on PayPal vaulted payments or billing agreement integrations
• Pay later offers also follow the PayPal Acceptable Use Policy, which governs the usage of PayPal and prohibits the use of PayPal and pay later offers for certain types of transactions, such as real money gaming and firearms.

Customize the PayPal official module messaging layout for Paga in 3

Note: Ensure that the PrestaShop official module is installed before enabling Pay Later messaging. Versions V1.4.0.1 through V1.7.7.3 support Paga in 3 messaging.

To customize the messaging layout, complete the following:

1. Log in to your PrestaShop admin portal.
2. Go to Payment > Payment Methods.
3. Select Configure under the PayPal payment option.
4. Select Paga in 3 tab. This tab will only be shown if the PrestaShop store is set to France, UK, Germany, Italy, Spain or US.
5. Set the toggle to Enable the display of Paga in 3 banners and select the locations on the site where you want banners to appear.
6. Under Advanced Options, set the toggle to Yes to change the home page and category page banner styles.

Enable messaging for PayPal Checkout

1. Log in to your PrestaShop admin portal.
2. Go to Payment > Payment Methods.
3. Select Configure under the PayPal payment option.
4. Select Paga in 3 tab. This tab will only be shown if the PrestaShop store is set to France, UK, Germany, Italy, Spain or US.
5. Set the toggle to Enable the display of Paga in 3 banners.
