Enable Pay Later messaging for Maropost

Promote PayPal Pay Later offers using messaging and buttons on your Maropost store.

PayPal offers short-term and interest-free payments that buyers can use to buy now and pay later. You get paid up-front, and there are no additional costs.

Pay Later messaging includes Pay in 4, which Australian buyers can use to pay for purchases of $30 to $2,000 in four, interest-free payments.

Know before you begin

• Before you begin, learn more about Pay Later offers.
• Before you enable Pay Later messaging, integrate PayPal with Maropost.
• You are eligible to promote PayPal Pay in 4 if you are a PayPal merchant with an Australian-facing website and have a one-time payment integration. Reference Transaction or Recurring Payment integrations are not eligible for PayPal Pay in 4, as well as certain merchant categories (such as gambling or foreign exchange).
• Please note that while this option provides messaging that can be displayed on your website to help promote this feature to your customers, no additional content, wording, marketing, or other materials should be created by you to encourage use of this product.

Display Pay in 4 on the checkout

To enable the Pay Later messaging, complete the following:

1. In your Maropost control panel, go to SETTINGS & TOOLS > Payment Methods.
2. In the PayPal section, select the Configure button.
3. In the Configuration section, toggle the Enable Pay in 4 switch by clicking it. (When enabled, the toggle will be to the right and coloured blue).
4. Save the payment method by clicking the Save button in the bottom right.

Retrieve your PayPal Client ID

Your PayPal client ID is required for your webstore to display Pay in 4 icons. To retrieve your client ID:

2. Under the Dashboard menu, select My Apps & Credentials.
3. Select the Live tab.
4. Copy your Client ID, you’ll add it to your Maropost control panel in the next section.

Install PayPal Pay in 4 Widgets

The PayPal Pay in 4 Widgets add-on is a free add-on built by Maropost that allows you to quickly and easily display Pay in 4 buttons and icons on your Maropost webstore. There is no need to install the PayPal Pay in 4 Widgets add-on if you have already added the custom scripts manually.

Note: The PayPal Pay in 4 Widgets add-on may not be suitable for all stores. If you have a customised webstore, you may be required to add scripts manually.

1. In your Maropost Commerce control panel, navigate to ADDONS.
2. Under the Payments & Fraud section, select Install on the PayPal Pay in 4 Widgets tile.
3. Enter your PayPal Client ID.
4. Select Install.

Once installed, the PayPal Pay in 4 Widgets custom scripts can be accessed from the PayPal Pay in 4 Widgets add-on tile by clicking the Configure button.
